- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 onions , chopped
- 2 carrots , chopped
- 4 garlic cloves , crushed
- 4 tomatoes , chopped
- bouquet garni (fresh parsley, thyme and bay leaf tied together with string)
- 2 x 400g cans haricot beans , rinsed and drained
- 300ml white wine
