  • 1 pound jumbo lump crabmeat (Blue or Dungeness), well picked for shells
  • 2 tablespoons coarsely chopped capers
  • 1 head Bibb lettuce, cleaned and dried
  • 1 avocado (preferably Hass), sliced or diced
  • Basil sprigs, as garnish
