  • 1 lb 5 oz (600g) skinless white fish fillets, such as cod or haddock, cut into bite-sized pieces, rinsed and patted dry
  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp peeled and chopped fresh ginger
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp black mustard seeds
  • 4 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
  • 2–4 dried red chiles, lightly crushed
  • 2 cups canned coconut milk
  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • Cilantro leaves and lemon wedges, to garnish
