Sausages braised with Guinness & onions
- 8 large, fat pork sausages
- 2 onions , sliced
- a 330ml can of Guinness
- 2 tsp plain flour
- 2 sprigs thyme
- mashed potato made with lots of cream and butter, to serve
- 1 garlic clove , crushed
- 4-6 rashers of streaky bacon , chopped
