  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon zest
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 egg, room temperature
