  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons refined mustard oil(see Notes)
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 3 medium red onions, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoons fresh garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon ground roasted cumin
  • 1½ teaspoons ground coriander
  • 4 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon table salt
  • ¼ cup (60 grams) tomato purée
  • 1 teaspoon red chile powder
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon roasted and crushed kasoori metro (dried fenugreek leaves)
  • ¼ cup (50 ml) heavy cream
