Homemade Creamed Corn
- 5 cups frozen corn, defrosted
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- fresh cracked black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter or oil
- 2/3 cup whole milk
- 2 heaping tablespoons chickpea flour (besan)
- 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
