Espresso Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Pinch of cream of tartar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup freshly brewed, strong espresso
  • 1 egg
  • 6 egg yolks
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant espresso powder (I use Medaglia D’Oro)
  • Fine-mesh strainer
  • Ice bath
  • Ice cream machine
